"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver"(M.K. Gandhi). I had visited Leh(Ladakh) recently, and I couldn't find a piece of paper littering the roads. The city was pure by itself and the people urged all the tourists to not litter. Somehow they knew how hazardous this littering can be, both to the environment and over a long term, to us.
As we can see in our Silicon city which is also known as "Garden City" is facing severe "Garbage disposal issue" and as this Garbage remains uncleared from the city for days, it has given birth to numerous diseases including dengue and malaria.Poor Health leads to poor productivity, its a loss for everybody. Little Care could have avoided such a situation.
Let us learn from the people of Ladakh and keep our city clean! Dispose waste in dustbins(do not throw on roads, treat the city like your home), segregate at doorstep and prefer using biodegradable materials like jute over plastic. Keep city Clean, Stay healthy :)
