I believe that the Tri-State area deserves another shot at pro hockey. The Blizzard provided the community with entertainment and a source of civic pride that was unlike anything else. Additionally, the team provided a boost to the economy by bringing more money to local businesses. A pro team means that the ice system at Big Sandy Superstore Arena will be restored. This could, perhaps, provide the area with a much needed public ice surface. I believe that if the ice system at Big Sandy Superstore Arena is restored, and a team returns, Huntington will see immense benefit.
