The Issue

Alcides Caceres has been detained by ICE since January 8, 2026. A federal court previously ruled that his detention was unlawful, yet he remains detained.

On February 6, 2026, Alcides was denied bond. He has no criminal record, is not a danger to the community, and is not a flight risk. He has strong community ties in Michigan, including graduating from Cass Technical High School and later attending Wayne State University.

Alcides has lived in the United States since he was a child and has built his entire life here. His continued detention is unnecessary, harmful, and unfair.

We are asking for immediate review of his case and for him to be released while his immigration proceedings continue.
