“WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion is being played on US Radio station despite its extremely explicit lyrics. Its radio version is still very suggestive and uses sexual noises to censor the words which is not appropriate for younger listeners. The goal of this petition is to ban the playing of “WAP” from daytime radio, which goes from 7 AM to 10 PM. “WAP” also has a sexually explicit music video and title, and kids who hear it on the radio will end up finding the video and getting exposed to stuff they shouldn’t be exposed to at that age. The banning of “WAP” from daytime radio playlists is the best option for the safety and security of America’s children.
