Fire pots of temporary joy causing permanent environmental damage
Skylights full of colour blinding birds and insects 
Bombastic splendor scaring dogs, cats, and pets
Smoke and dust choke the asthmatic. 
Allergens burning eyes, nose, and throat.
Old and just born, ailing aunts and uncles 
Dread and detest Diwali because of crackers.

Stop SMOG… Stop  Fire Accidents… Stop Sending Toxic Waste to Landfills 

This Diwali… Let fresh air flow through every window…

Let the music of birds and chants fill our day

Spend Wisely this Diwali
Invest your currency…  Do Not Burn it
Pledge to create a fire-free Diwali,

Spend the Surplus to feed cats and dogs, cows and crows
Give away blankets and boots, winter is approaching
