The FDA is broken, and is out of control !

The agency one of the oldest in the United States has lost it's way and can't remember who it should be representing.

Let us put a end to the FDA's misrepresentation and bad science by signing this petition, that will directly affect your health, your love ones health, and all the future generations health.

A petition for change.
A brief history of the FDA. Beginning as the Division of Chemistry and then (after July 1901) the Bureau of Chemistry, the modern era of the FDA dates to 1906 with the passage of the Federal Food and Drugs Act; this added regulatory functions to the agency's scientific mission. The Bureau of Chemistry's name changed to the Food, Drug, and Insecticide Administration in July 1927, when the non-regulatory research functions of the bureau were transferred elsewhere in the department. In July 1930 the name was shortened to the present version. FDA remained under the Department of Agriculture until June 1940, when the agency was moved to the new Federal Security Agency. In April 1953 the agency again was transferred, to the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW). Fifteen years later FDA became part of the Public Health Service within HEW, and in May 1980 the education function was removed from HEW to create the Department of Health and Human Services, FDA's current home. The FDA is supposed to be a comprehensive consumer protection agency. Today $.25 per dollar spent by consumers is overseen by this agency. As of 2011 there are over 180 agencies in the United States Government and growing, all with the agenda of protecting people in one from or another. From the beginning, with the creation of the first agency, it was corrupted by our lawmakers. Our congressmen had the responsibility for making all laws at the time, but with these new Agencies, any new law that the people or businesses would have to abide by, would take the responsibility away from the congressman. So if a new law was distasteful, the passing of it would not have any finger pointing to a congressman, making there chances of reelection from their constituents easier. Our Constitution was very clear on how law was to be created, and the separation of the three branches of government legislative, executive and judicial, and knew it was crucial to the workings of our country to have this separation of power. The Constitution was written in a way to keep our country running smoothly, with as little corruption as possible. Most of the federal agencies on the other hand, do not follow the Constitution, and the head of any one of these agencies is basically a dictator. Our Congress has given enormous power to these agencies, to regulate everything we consume, with the assumption that it is for our best interest. All the agencies from the ones that are redundant, to others that are surely needed in 2011 are corrupted in one way or another. How can they not be corrupted? when their is no checks and balances in place for the head of these agencies. It is easy to see how and why this system of law has gotten out of control and is no longer looking out for the welfare of the people of the United States. To start change in our government we need to pick one agency to change, and that one agency is the FDA. FDA makes laws or guidelines on everything we eat, and all the vitamins and drugs we take orally or inject into our bodies. The head of the FDA, also known as the Commissioner has the power of all three branches of government, legislative, executive and judicial and uses these powers at will without any good science half the time to back the commissioners decision for a approval of a given drug or to make illegal a food or vitamin. Even though the FDA's own board of inquiry at times refuses to recommend that action. Could there be a conflict of interest? I believe the beginning of the blatant misuse of power, by the Commissioner of the FDA seems to have started in 1981, with the changing of the Commissioner from Dr.Gere Goyan to Dr. Arthur Hall Hayes Junior, the result being the approval of the artificial sweetener aspartame, which was found to be unsafe by the FDA's board of inquiries, and was not going to be approved prior to the appointment of the new commissioner, for more information go to http://americanfraud.com/arthurhayes.aspx. After this occurrence, the FDA went from an agency for the people, to having a new agenda, and that agenda is now a agency for corporations. Which corporations? it's obvious the pharmaceutical corporations have a place in this new agenda, that the FDA started in 1981 to our present day. The drug approval process has gotten a lot easier for big Pharma since that time, with the FDA giving them oversight over their own drug testing, that's just like the fox watching over the hen-house. Just look what has been approved for the people of the US by the FDA with the guise of helping the people with their symptoms or disease Avandia, Ketek, Zoloft, Redux, Effexon, Rezuline, Paxil, Vioxx, to name a small few, and all of which were pulled off the market after many deaths per drug. The FDA is directly responsible for countless sicknesses and deaths over the years of US Citizens as a result of this bad science. Now the FDA's latest crusade is against American vitamins and minerals, for the health of the American people, that the say they have to protect, and implement stricter regulations. What the FDA does not want to tell you is that the vitamin industry has one of the safest yearly track record's of any industry! and no deaths directly associated with them in many years, unlike Big Pharma and the thousands of deaths that are link to them yearly. There also seems to be a pattern that exists in the FDA, of the Commissioner or other high ranking officials in the agency of obtaining positions at big Pharma/Corporations once they are released from their position with the FDA. The FDA has gone so far off track, that they consider Big Pharma and other corporations like Monsanto as clients in there own words. The founders of the United States would've seen this as tyranny, and tyranny is the main reasons why our forefathers broke away from the King of England and started the United States. We've come to a crossroads. Thanks to the Internet, the average reasonable American is now able to see with their own two eyes how the government agencies have gotten out of control. We need to take a stand and get back the control of at lest one of the Agency's now, and that one is the FDA. We have to get our representatives in Congress to stop the FDA with their continuous conflict of interest's, that one appointed commissioner to the next seems to have with big Pharma and other corporations, by putting in place checks and balances and direct oversight of this rogue agency. We also need to ban any commissioner or person of influence in the FDA from obtaining a job with any corporation with ties to the FDA Drug/Food Approval Program for a time period after FDA employment. This business in which this agencie operates has to stop, not only with the FDA, but many other agencies for the betterment of the people of the United States, and the world. Our representatives in Congress have to be pressured, to make these changes, that the people of the US want and need, and also to assure that our population is not used as mice or rats in some acceptable science experiment to benefit a corporation. This is not how sound Medical Science is supposed to work. If we can make a change in the FDA. I believe all the other agencies will take notice and start doing their jobs again by looking out for the citizens of the United States of America. And if not, they will be the next ones to see reform.
