Artificial food dyes, such as yellow 6, have been shown to cause cancer in animal studies. Yellow 5 and Red 40 often contain illegally high levels of known carcinogens. Which is why they have been banned in the U.K and European Union. These artificial colors are known to cause severe allergic reactions, as well as a number of serious behavioral issues in children including ADHD, depression, anxiety, loss of control emotionally and physically, and violent tantrums.
