As thousands of Dodge and Chrysler owners spend their hard earned money on repairs, FCA/Stellantis fail to issue a recall despite being fully aware of the design flaw that exists within the Engine Oil Filter Adapter that accompanies their 3.6L engines, across several models.

The original design is comprised of plastic which is unable to withstand extreme temperatures, leading to cracks which result in oil loss. If the leak should happen to go unnoticed, owners risk catastrophic engine failure.  While there are currently over 40,000 on back order, customers are left waiting for weeks before their vehicles can be fixed and driven safely. The current cost for replacement, including parts and labor, is $750-$800. 

The goal of this petition is to demand a recall of the faulty part and request reimbursement to those owners who have already paid for repairs. Many families, especially those still struggling to recover from financial hardships caused by the pandemic, cannot afford to cover expenses that are a direct result of shortcuts taken to reduce production costs.
