This FBISD rule on hair length is senseless. There is nothing wrong or dangerous about long hair. It doesn't distract the classroom, it doesn't hurt anyone, it's not a health violation, and if it was then you'd have to make the girls cut their hair too. I like how I dress and look. We are given a freedom of what we're allowed to wear, the only things we're not allowed to wear are clothes that reveal skin or have a provocative sexual nature. Long hair doesn't promote sex. It doesn't make women attempt to come on to me and develop a relationship. I don't use it to my advantage. I just have it because I like it. And I'm sure that I'm only part of a few boys to have long hair, but others would agree too that there is no reason at all to not allow long hair. Not only is this rule useless, but it goes against everything our school, society, or even nation is about. Equality. Equal rights given to all.
