LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO CAMBRIA HOTELS FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING

LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO CAMBRIA HOTELS FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The Issue
Dating back to 2014 Cambria and Choice Hotels (management company) have been frequently discussed in association to sex trafficking. The reoccurring factor seems to be women being the targeted victims and everyone turning a blind eye. Cambria is owned by Choice Hotels, which is owned by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Wyndham was sued a few years ago for involvement in sex trafficking. Just recently a black women Maya Angelique (@moneyymaya) with a larger social media presence was almost a victim of trafficking. She is known for her relentless efforts to advocate issues within the black community as well as her entertaining tweets. We followed the story live from our homes not knowing what would happen next. The videos sent a chill down many of our backs, it was evident she was not safe. From management justifying a man forcibly trying enter her room at 1 a.m as housekeeping to the nonchalant demeanor of the manager. Due to the mannerisms each employee displayed during the interaction, it was evident this was not the first time they’d done this. Once it hit social media story’s began pouring in of this kind of behavior across the nation from several women & witnesses. Unfortunately we don’t need this blowing over in a week or two because it’s no longer the latest news. Clearly something inhuman and dark is going on across the nation with this company that needs to be investigated. We need to save our daughters, sisters, cousins, friends from what appears to be a highly sophisticated human trafficking operation.
