In the middle of a racist allegations toward FIT with the MFA fashion show incident, racism among faculty was also witnessed.

Professor Dawnn Karen, fashion psychologist and psychology teacher at the F.I.T., was fired by her department. She is the first black and youngest psychology professor. The Social Science Department voted to relieve her of her function even though she has very high ratings from student evaluations and faculty evaluations since 2016!
