In spite of the National Trust’s new licensing system for so-called ‘trail hunts’, convicted huntsman William Goffe (see bit.ly/2mUh4fz or the video attached to the petition) and his hunt have been ignoring the law and the Trust’s system repeatedly this hunting season. The National Trust’s Upton House, where the Warwickshire Hunt meet on Boxing Day, have ignored requests about whether the hunt will meet on their land on Boxing Day this year.

With blatant cubbing (bit.ly/2eMVq9R), trespass on National Trust land (bit.ly/2ix8gI5 & bit.ly/2khN5xm), assault (which National Trust director Patrick Begg described as ‘clearly serious & upsetting’ - bit.ly/2hMP6AK & bit.ly/2jKOF71) and causing havoc on roads (bit.ly/2BwJiQb) under their belt this season, it’s time this hunt were kicked off National Trust land for good! We call on the National Trust to declare that any licence applications made by the Warwickshire Hunt will be rejected, and to refuse to host them for Boxing Day meets.
