We, the undersigned, are petitioning against the selective enforcement of listing removals by Etsy. Many sellers, including myself, have experienced removals of our listings, while identical items remain untouched on the platform.

As an active seller on Etsy since 2012, I recently encountered an issue with the removal of one of my vintage items ( policy violation not infringement). Despite thorough research of Etsy's policies and multiple pages of listings of the same item on the platform, my listing was singled out for removal. Etsy's response suggested I report other similar listings, an unreasonable expectation.

Etsy's listing deactivation processes lack transparency and fairness, perpetuating a system where some sellers profit from the platform while others are unfairly targeted and threatened. The punitive language used by Etsy in such cases, including threats of deactivating shops and revoking seller badges, creates an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty for sellers.

We demand that Etsy reassess its policies and practices to ensure fairness and equity for all sellers on the platform. This includes conducting proactive searches to remove all offending listings, rather than placing the burden on individual sellers to report them.
