On October 5, 2015 Angela Luke was being beaten by her husband, Daniel Luke, and when she tried to escape with her children in her car Mr Luke attempted to stop her and got run over by Ms Luke's car in the process. Now Ms Luke is being prosecuted despite having to run over her abusive husband to escape him. By prosecuting Angela Luke The Fairfield County Prosecutor's Office is not only trying to put a victim in jail but is also telling other victims that they have no legal protection if they try to escape or defend themselves. The charges against Angela need to be dropped. She should not be going to jail for something she did in order to protect herself and her children.
