FAIR TREATMENT AND PROTECTION OF RM & J-HOPE
The Issue
We respectfully ask BIGHIT MUSIC and HYBE to:
1. Protect RM and J-HOPE from unfair harassment and accusations
We ask the company to ensure that both artists are not subjected to disproportionate criticism, harassment, or professional consequences based on assumptions surrounding the recent concert-related controversy.
2. Provide clarity when misinformation spreads
We ask BIGHIT MUSIC and HYBE to communicate clearly when false or misleading narratives are being used against RM and J-HOPE, while respecting the artists' privacy.
3. Protect BTS's seven-member identity
RM and J-HOPE should continue to be recognized and supported as integral members of BTS. No controversy should be used to erase their contributions, achievements, or identities within the group.
4. Ensure equal protection for all BTS members
We ask the company to provide RM and J-HOPE with the same level of protection, respect, and support given to every BTS member.
5. Prevent unjust professional consequences
We respectfully ask that RM and J -HOPE not lose opportunities, recognition, partnerships, or professional positions solely because of public speculation surrounding this incident.
OUR POSITION
We understand that every situation can be discussed and criticized responsibly. However, being present at an event or having an interaction does not automatically establish a person's beliefs, intentions, or support for another person's actions.
We are not asking anyone to ignore facts or excuse wrongdoing.
We are asking for fairness, context, and evidence before judgment.
RM and J-HOPE have spent years building their careers and representing BTS with dedication. They deserve to be treated as individuals rather than being defined by assumptions surrounding one incident.
This petition is not against anyone.
