We are a group of concerned students who have participated in the recent counseling rounds for admissions at Manipal Institute of Technology. We urgently request Manipal Institute of Technology hold additional counseling rounds before the intrasliding rounds and if no vaccancies are avaliable after the final fee payment , increase seat availability of different branches. Many students with ranks below the cutoff have not been allotted branches, causing severe distress as we have no other options left.

 Many students with ranks falling under the cutoff rank of their desired branches are severely impacted by the current admissions process at Manipal Institute of Technology. Despite their ranks being well within the cutoff, they have not been allotted any branches, leaving them without a clear path forward in their education. Manipal will be also conducting intrasliding round for those students who has already secured a seat in the university , with the availability of vaccancies after the final date of fee payment on 15th of july. This hardly prioritize those students who actually deserve their desired branches with respect to their ranks. This has caused immense stress and anxiety, as these students have no other educational opportunities lined up and are relying solely on this process for their future.

If the situation remains unchanged, these students will face significant disruptions in their academic and professional trajectories. They may lose an entire academic year, which can have long-term consequences on their careers and personal lives. On the other hand, by conducting additional counseling rounds before the intrasliding round if vaccancies are available and if not increasing the seat availability in different, Manipal Institute of Technology can ensure that deserving students secure their rightful place, promoting fairness and equal opportunity.

Immediate action is crucial to prevent further distress and uncertainty among students. The admission process is time-sensitive, and delays will only worsen the problems faced by these students. Manipal Institute of Technology uphold its reputation for fairness and support, ensuring that all candidates receive the opportunities they deserve. We urge the university to take swift and decisive action to rectify this situation by the following ways:

• Additional Counseling Rounds: We urge you to conduct more counseling rounds before the intrasliding round. This will ensure that candidates who have not yet been allotted a branch and deserve to get their desired branch according to their rank are given a fair chance before those who have already secured a branch.
• Increased Seat Availability: If there are no vacancies available after the final feel payment i.e on 15th of july, we request you to consider increasing the number of seats in different branches of the University. This will help accommodate more students and provide opportunities to those who are anxiously waiting for a seat.
• Clarification on Cutoff Ranks: We seek clarification on the issue where candidates with ranks lower than the cutoff have not been allotted a branch not only with the point of null vacancies but also with a proper proof , in order to maintain transparency among the students. This will also help us in knowing that university is not using any unfair means for filling up the seats in different branches.

Additionally, despite providing contact information, the university is not responding to our phone calls or emails, leaving us without answers or support.

We seek fair and equal opportunities for all candidates. We request Manipal Institute of Technology for taking the following actions at earliest. Please address this urgently.
