Factory farms exploit their animals for profit. Companies make millions of this wrongdoing. Many undergo painful mutilation and are bred to grow unnaturally fast and large to maximaize meat, egg, and milk production. Animals are tortured , killed by being slammed against concrete floors or walls. Some even shot in the forehead and tossed into the trash yet still alive. Animals are deprived of living their natural lives and are confined to small spaces. Factory farms are extremely to the environment. The amount of waste produced from the animals pollutes the land, air, and water. Antibiotics are used due to the extreme unsanitary conditions which can create drug-resistant bacteria and put human health at risk.
