Restaurant Express Game (Facebook) Refund all in game purchases!
The Issue
- Restaurant City was a Facebook gaming application by Playfish. It went into public beta on April 28th, 2009.
- Restaurant City has closed down as of June 29, 2012. However, there is a relaunch by fans of the game called Restaurant City 2016, that is similar to the old game, but doesn't have the new features quite yet.
-Restaurant City wikia
In January of 2016, a/an individual/group recreated the popular social game called Restaurant City on Facebook and launched their testing stage of the game. During this time, the game contains a vast amount of bugs and errors, both game breaking and insignificant. This is understandable; it's called the testing stage for a reason.
Among the game changing bugs were, but not limited to :
- Items in inventories disappearing
- Progress getting reset
- Changes not sticking (does not save)
- Game server lag
All these are fine and all, being a developing game. The game consists of 2 currencies, Star Cash and Money. Money is an in-game currency and can be earned by playing the game. Star Cash however, can only be purchased using real rupees. This is the issue. The game is offering in-game premium currency before actually fixing all the major issues at hand. Many other games also adept this concept but this game's game breaking bugs also affect premium currency.
Example : You purchase SC using your credit card. You then use your SC to purchase premium items in the game. A few days later, you return to the game only to find that your premium items that you purchased using SC is gone.
Contacting the admin of the community page isn't helpful as they reply with a 'we'll look into it'.
The game constantly experiences server issues and other ISP related issues through it's time. Here's the real bummer.
On the 3rd of March, the game has went offline with no updates from any of the developers.
This is NOT OKAY. Many have spent hundreds of dollars on the game and is now in despair that their hard earned cash has been lost. Many have tried to contact the developers to no avail.
