Allow Mothers to sell BreastPumps on Facebook

Allow Mothers to sell BreastPumps on Facebook

The issue

Mothers breastfeed. Its a natural, normal and beautiful thing to do to feed your baby. Some mothers require a Breast Pump, for a myriad of reasons, including to return to work.

Facebook Marketplace considers Breast Pumps a medical device, and therefore doesn't allow the sale of them second hand. These devices are expensive, some costing hundreds of dollars and some are even hospital grade.

Devices are washed & able to be sterilised, as part of their washing instructions. You can also purchase replacement parts where necessary.

Australian women PLEAD with Facebook to allow us to sell/purchase these items. Mothers are able to make informed choices, like whether it is appropriate for them to buy a second hand pump.
