Please, Do Not take down @michael.herbertson(‘s) IG Page.... Instagram/Facebook.

The Issue

I think people would miss my feed, my photography, the celebration and authenticity of the men, unaware. and my Candid Portraits of models and people: men and women/ all ethnicities.  And I would miss posting and sharing them.  It’s been extremely therapeutic for me, freeing me up, getting me out and into the flow of life again after years of being unable to leave my apartment- suffering from severe depression, social anxiety and agoraphobia.  I do get all my extra clients and work and other opportunities from my IG page.  Being disabled and living on social security, I’m grateful for the extra work. And I have made some long lasting friendships from my Photography work through my IG page.

Now your community standards department is taking issue with posts and past post that you want taken down or else you’re going to be deleting my account soon - threatening to pull me down without telling me which pictures are in question.

I do not and have not broken the law.  I know this is partly do to a few complaints - and I’m not always doctor Sunshine when being attacked or falsely accused of interrupting someone’s life. I do have a small group of jellybean haters, who created lots of identities and ( time on their hands) have made lots of noise.  It is their mission in life to close me down - only because they didn't think of it first.
This is my Art, my form of Artistic Expression, the combination of Street Photography  & Portraiture...without the subject knowing.   I’ve been shown in two Los Angeles Galleries: BovaZone Gallery & Nocturnal Animals Dec of 2018.  I’ve had articles written about my page:

‘The essence of a person, a man, can only be seen; his truth, his beauty, when the subject is unaware’  This is my belief and motto and may mantra what when walking somewhere with my cameras.
My co-mission also is ‘The Anti Selfie‘ one.  I believe this obsession with ‘self‘ ‘selfies’. And a persons best angles and me me me another picture of me at the mirror at my gym is a dangerous psychological and sociological move - to become so enthralled and intranced by just you alone and your own appearance, how you pitching yourself to the world, will they buy this ‘other alter persona’? And that constant shaping of something false.  Had already been proven to have have negative consequences in our culture.  I want to start inspiring ‘beyond themselves thinking’ to stop hyper focusing on themselves / ones-self, but to start inspiring people connecting to the world if they’d only look up from their last self and if it’s getting good numbers.   My photos are really about rejoining the outside world, into a community, in with and being with and working and listenIng to and seeing others. Start by looking around them in their own neighborhood, outside themselves, and see what’s going on.  Look up from your phone and look and look outside yourself, even if you’re just starting with desire, a flower, a tree or a person...what turns you on, who you think is attractive.  It’s a good first move I think for a person who’s only concerned with themselves what they think , how they look, getting outside of yourself.  I think that’s a healthy first move, don’t you?  Please sign this petition to help keep me shooting & letting the powers that be at Facebook / Instagram know that @michael.herbertdon is an Artist - please don’t censor his work and delete his photographs and Instagram Page  - Thank You xoxoM
