Facebook's Marketplace App allows the placements of advertisements of pets for sale. These ads include the sale of dogs, cats, horses and other pets.
Pets should not be bought and sold online like comic books and knick knacks.
Every year thousands of animals are euthanized in shelters simply because they are unwanted. Hundreds of private, unlicensed breeders, keep animals in terrible living conditions, forcing animals to live in cramped confined spaces to provide pet stores with puppies. Many pet store puppies have health problems.
This is a campaign to appeal to Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg to remove the Pets for Sale section of this app and prohibit any application that involves the sale of pets.
