Hi everyone!

I’ve been using Facebook Messenger for a few years now, and every time I send an emoticon such as ":)", it autocorrects to an emoji. I have always been an avid user of emoticons, so you can imagine my frustration when I first realized that Messenger would do this. While reading online I found that in the past you would be able to disable this feature in Settings, but sadly no such option currently exists. I realize that some individuals may want this feature for the sake of convenience, but many of my friends agree that this is quite an annoying feature, and would like to see the re-implementation of being able to turn off the "auto-emoji" setting in Messenger.
