Les published two articles today, please share it together with our petition. Three Cheers for SKK as they Join NKK in Ant-FCI-WDS for China Stance August 15, 2015 I shout Hip! Hip! Hip! Hooray to the SKK (Swedish Kennel Club) who have now issued a statement in support of the NKK (Norwegian Kennel Club) and their attitude towards the FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale) and their condemnation of the decision to award the WDS (World Dog Show) to China. The SKK go even further, in their statement, than the NKK by ‘asking their General Assembly to either renegotiate their membership terms with the FCI or start negotiations to end their membership. They have also decided to postpone deciding dates for FCI shows in 2018 pending the outcome of the General Assembly’s decision.’ The SKK further states that ‘they share the NKK’s standpoint on the matter of China as host nation of the WDS and their members and judges are advised against participating at the show’. SKK also expresses ‘its full support for the NKK’s right to free speech – it is unacceptable that a country that expresses its opinion shall be threatened with sanctions by the FCI’. I now hope that more countries join with NKK and SKK in their courageous stance because if they do this will certainly bring about a change of attitude and certainly a change in the outrageous bullying tactics of the FCI that up until now have so far been levelled solely against the NKK. If further dissent spreads widely amongst FCI members it will almost certainly also spell the end of the WDS going to China.
