Time Crisis with Ezra Koenig is a radio show on Apple Music's Beats 1, hosted by Ezra Koenig and Jake Longstreth. It focuses on discussions of music, both classic and modern. The show has had many musical guests over the years, including Alanis Morissette, Dave Longstreth of Dirty Projectors, and Charli XCX. Wes Miles is the lead singer of Ra Ra Riot. He has also been repeatedly stated to be a longtime childhood friend of Ezra Koenig. Additionally, Ra Ra Riot is on the verge of releasing a new album, Superbloom. Despite achieving past commercial success with songs such as "Can You Tell," the band has all but disappeared from the public eye, with their last album Need Your Light receiving little to no media attention. (Wes doesn't even have a separate Wikipedia page!) Ra Ra Riot is a fantastic band with many similarities to Vampire Weekend and Dirty Projectors, bands the hosts of the show are personally connected to, and a discussion with Wes on Time Crisis would give Ra Ra Riot a much-needed boost in publicity. On top of all of this, Wes Miles was also once part of Discovery, a collaborative project with former Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij. Discovery's LP recently celebrated a ten-year anniversary, and it makes another perfect topic for discussion on the show. Please Ezra and Jake, consider having Wes on the show (and Wes - consider going on!). It would be great for the show, great for Ra Ra Riot and a good opportunity all around!
