We call on the local council and bus operators to add an extra Number 9 service. The limited frequency of this route has caused significant inconvenience for residents, particularly the elderly, disabled and those without access to private transport.
An additional Number 9 service would:
Improve access to essential services, shops, and healthcare.
Reduce isolation for vulnerable residents.
Support local businesses by increasing footfall.
Provide a greener alternative to car travel, helping reduce congestion and emissions.

At the moment the 9 service runs once an hour, Monday - Saturday, excluding bank holidays. This leaves a window where those with vulnerabilities, relying on the service have no way to access the community. This can have a major impact and does to some people's lives.

We are requesting an extra service per hour in the week, with Sundays and Bank holidays running an hourly service.
