They travel for opportunities in employment, engaging in business, pursuing education, receiving medical treatments, and visiting family. Currently, the lack of direct train connectivity makes these essential travels arduous, time-consuming, and sometimes costly for numerous passengers relying on the Indian Railway network.

Hon'ble Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Railway Board, we anticipate your kind support. We respectfully request Indian Railways to extend Train No. 14217/14218 Unchahar Express from Chandigarh to Amritsar, scheduling the departure at around 6:00 PM. This route extension will not only provide direct and comfortable travel options but will also enhance economic activities in the regions benefiting both personal and commercial travel opportunities.

If extending the Unchahar Express isn’t operationally feasible, we propose introducing a new train or diverting an existing one from Amritsar through Jalandhar City and Ludhiana directly to Prayagraj. This measure will address the pressing need for a seamless connection, thereby enhancing community interactions and economic growth between these crucial areas.
