This system inadvertently affects us, as Islington residents can conveniently park in our streets from 12:00 PM onwards without needing a permit, then walk just a short distance across the road to their homes.
It's not just a matter of inconvenience; for many residents here, it's become a daily stress and strain as we circle the neighbourhood searching for available parking near our homes. On top of work commitments and family responsibilities, not having guaranteed parking only adds to the pressure we face. The time we spend, sometimes futilely, looking for parking could be better spent elsewhere—be it with our families or participating more actively within our community.
Moreover, as our local streets become more congested with non-resident vehicles, it impacts the overall safety and dynamics of our neighbourhood.
