I am a student at Oregon State University Honors College. Like many others, my education heavily relies on online resources. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) has been instrumental in ensuring that I can continue my studies without interruption due to financial constraints. However, the program is set to expire soon. This petition seeks to extend the ACP and ensure that students like me can continue their education unhindered.

The ACP provides up to $30 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands (Federal Communications Commission). It's an essential lifeline for millions of Americans who struggle with internet access, especially during these challenging times when remote learning has become more prevalent than ever.

Passing the ACP Extension Bill will not only benefit students but also low-income families and seniors who rely on this program for affordable internet access. Without it, many could be left without vital connectivity needed for work, school, healthcare services, and staying connected with loved ones.
