As a parent of children attending C.S. 21 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, I have witnessed firsthand the exceptional nurturing environment this school provides from 3K to 5th grade. The teachers, staff, and principal/VPs not only uphold high academic standards but also foster love and kindness towards our children. They are instrumental in building both character and intellect in our young ones.

However, the magic of this school ends abruptly at the end of 5th grade. Our children are then forced to leave their community to attend middle school elsewhere - a transition that can be challenging for them emotionally and academically.

The parents of C.S. 21 students feel secure knowing their kids are part of this wonderful institution; it is time we extend this feeling beyond the current grades offered by advocating for an expansion up to the 8th grade.
