These animals have become the victims of heinous acts of torture and sexual abuse perpetrated by a group of nine individuals who flagrantly flaunt their despicable acts to garner attention and likes on Discord.

Among these abusers is the teenage son of a local judge, a fact that underscores the deep-seated corruption infecting our judicial system. This connection has seemingly emboldened these perpetrators, as the local police and even the judiciary, sworn to shield citizens and promote justice, have resorted to silencing those who dare speak out. Activists, standing valiantly for animal rights, have been subjected to raids and threats as the vile shield of corruption protects the guilty.

Despite clear evidence of their crimes, justice remains elusive, not only condoning this behavior but allowing it to thrive. The Brazilian president and national authorities, who possess the power to initiate an investigation, have thus far ignored our cries for justice, turning a blind eye to the injustice happening under their watch.

Santa Catarina deserves safety and justice. Our community cannot and will not remain silent. We urgently need a comprehensive investigation into the conduct of the local police and judiciary. Only then can we rebuild a just and safe environment for every resident, both human and animal.
