The Union College community is a place of diversity, acceptance, and mutual respect. However, one of our own, Ayah Osman, has been consistently threatening this harmony by posting antisemitic remarks on her Instagram account. Her actions have caused distress among the Jewish students on campus and have tarnished the inclusive image of our institution.

Ayah's most recent incident occurred during an educational gathering led by Professor Berk, a respected Professor of Holocaust and Jewish Studies at Union College. When questioned about her inflammatory remarks regarding attendees at an Israel-supporting rally - suggesting they should "burn in hell" - she showed no remorse or understanding for the harm she was causing.

Antisemitism is not just offensive; it's dangerous. According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), antisemitic rhetoric alarmingly increased to 488% since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th. This rise in hate speech creates an environment of fear and hostility that no student should have to endure.

We believe that Union College must take decisive action against such behavior to protect its students and uphold its values. We call upon the administration to expel Ayah Osman from campus immediately for her continual display of antisemitism.
