Expedite the First Round of State PG Counseling in Telangana

Expedite the First Round of State PG Counseling in Telangana
The Issue
As a medical student who recently sat for the NEET PG examinations, I share the same aspirations as every other student - to secure a residency at the best institute, in my preferred field of specialization. However, the persistent delays in the scheduling of the first round of state Postgraduate (PG) counseling in Telangana is causing undue distress and confusion among us, the young aspirants of medicine who have worked relentlessly to get ahead in our chosen avenues.
While we appreciate the Medical Council of Telangana and the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) for trying to keep the counselling fair, it’s imperative to understand the urgency of the situation. we urge them to expedite the processes and bring them in harmony with the timeline of the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) All India Counselling procedures. The latter is currently heading into its third round, while we continue to await the commencement of our state's first round of counseling.
This delay not only fuels uncertainty but also compromises the opportunities that could have been availed by many of us. Most other Indian states have already concluded the second round of their respective state counseling. Hence, we plead with the government of Telangana, the state medical council, and KNRUHS to dispatch the state merit list and state ranks within the upcoming two days, enabling more effective alignment with the MCC's counseling procedures.
The mental health and future prospects of many young medical students should not be subjected to such perturbing predicaments. We urge the above-mentioned bodies to take swift and decisive action that will alleviate our anxieties and pave the way for our promising futures. Your decision can change the trajectory of our careers and lives. Kindly act now. Please sign this petition to strengthen our appeal and to ensure a fair, prompt, and equitable counseling process for all the aspiring doctors of Telangana.
