KIA will send a team to Canberra Cavallie of the Australian professional baseball league ABL on the 27th. A total of five players will be dispatched, including pitchers Kwak Do-kyu, Kim Ki-hoon, Kim Hyun-soo, Hong Won-bin and infielder Park Min.

Since 2018, the KBO League has created an opportunity to gain experience by dispatching promising players to the Australian League through Geelong Korea. However, with Geelong Korea disbanded at the end of last season, promising players can no longer be dispatched to the Australian League.

KIA explained why it sent players to Canberra, saying, "As Geelong Korea's dispatch to ABL fell through from this year, the club sought an alternative, and in September, Shim Jae-hak, the head of the team, met with the owner of Canberra in person and agreed to dispatch the team."
