As the founder of THE5 and from a family deeply rooted in Los Angeles, I have always cherished the community spirit that thrives within our city. I believe that sports, particularly youth baseball and softball, play a crucial role in fostering this spirit. However, it is clear that there is a lack of sufficient, quality facilities for these sports within our local area. The Sepulveda Basin Recreation area is an integral part of our community and has the potential to serve as an ideal location for expanding youth baseball and softball fields.

Specifically, there are approximately 56 acres of land in the Northwest quadrant of the Basin that could be utilized for this purpose. This land is bordered by White Oak, the Orange Line Busway, and the LA River - making it easily accessible to all residents.  We have a plan that you can see HERE.  

The benefits of such a project would be manifold. Not only would it provide more opportunities for children to participate in these sports but also help foster community engagement and promote physical fitness among our youth. 

We envision these new fields as 'Los Angeles Victory Fields', where community spirit flourishes alongside excellence on the field; where unforgettable moments come alive; where we ignite passion for baseball and softball among our youth.
