Expand UW Medicine's Presence to Bremerton and Kitsap County, Washington

Expand UW Medicine's Presence to Bremerton and Kitsap County, Washington
The Issue
UW Medicine, Kitsap County State Legislators:
Every month my family spends half a day on the road, trekking back and forth from Bremerton, WA to Seattle just to secure essential primary care with UW Medicine. Right here in Bremerton, we have a UW Medicine airlift station - a beacon of emergency healthcare in our community. It prompts the question - why not establish a fully functioning clinic here instead of solely providing support for dire cases?
Bremerton and Kitsap County are in dire need of an expanded medical service. According to the United Health Foundation's annual health rankings, Washington ranks 13th out of the 50 states in health infrastructure. A significant contribution to this ranking is having robust healthcare systems like UW Medicine, but their presence is lacking in Kitsap County (source: United Health Foundation's annual health rankings). This situation leaves tens of thousands without easy access to essential medical services.
UW Medicine, as a leading healthcare provider in the region, holds the capacity and the obligation to bridge this health service gap. By setting up new clinics in Bremerton and throughout Kitsap County, UW Medicine would be fulfilling a fundamental demand of the community and enhancing the quality of life for countless families like mine.
Please join us in petitioning for better medical access in Bremerton and Kitsap County, WA. Sign this petition to urge UW Medicine to establish more clinics in our communities and eventually new UW medicine hospitals and related facilities - thus facilitating access to quality healthcare for those in need. Our growing region needs additional healthcare access beyond the one health system in place.
