Expand Eid al-Adha Accommodations in NYC Schools

The Issue

Eid al-Adha is a significant three-day holiday. As an NYC student, I have noticed that the NYC DOE calendar only observes part of the holiday (the first day).

Partial recognition of the holiday can conflict with the attendance of students and families who observe it.

I am an NYC student sharing concerns about the NYC DOE calendar. The goal of this petition is to gather community support to recognize these days as significant and to request a review of the NYC DOE calendar to expand observance of this holiday or provide accommodations for students who observe it.
