Exorbitant electricity charges in Noida's Logix Blossoms Zest Society
The Issue
This petition is to bring your attention to the ongoing challenges faced by the residents of Logix Zest, pertaining to various issues that require immediate attention and resolution. The following points outline the key concerns expressed by the residents:
Exorbitant Charges: The residents of Logix Zest have been burdened with exorbitant charges amounting to Rs 32, which is considerably higher in comparison to other DG-run societies such as Logix Blossom County where the charges are Rs 12. This stark difference has caused financial distress among the residents.
Currently, residents are paying around 24000 INR for electricity bills for 800 units. This is breaking the economic condition of all middle-class home buyers and residents.
a. Pressure from IRP: The introduction of regulations stipulating that diesel generators will not be allowed from September 2023 has led to increased pressure on the residents. As a result, the residents have been imposed with an additional demand of approximately INR 1 Lakh, hampering their financial stability.
b. Additional Demand for Temporary Connection: The residents have recently been subjected to an additional demand of INR 50 thousand for obtaining temporary connections. This further exacerbates their financial burdens.
c. Alternative Energy Options Ignored: The concerns regarding exploring alternative energy options such as Piped Gas (CNG) or IGL have not been addressed by the concerned authorities. The failure to consider these alternatives has adversely affected the resident's ability to access more sustainable and cost-effective energy sources.
d. Similar Situation in Logix Blossom Greens : It is worth noting that the situation in Logix Blossom Zest is parallel to that of Logix Greens society. The builder has been directed by the district administration to support 2000 liters of diesel until a satisfactory resolution is reached.
e. Neglection and Non-Responsiveness: Whenever the residents have raised concerns about incorrect charges, the Insolvency Resolution Professional (IRP) and Facilities Office have turned a deaf ear, exacerbating their sense of helplessness.
Impact on Residents: More than 650 possession holders and their tenants are directly affected by these issues. The financial burden and lack of responsiveness have caused significant distress and anxiety among the residents.
Differential Treatment: The demands for no dues certificates for electricity payments are being unjustly imposed on possession holders only, while non-possession holders who are yet to pay their dues are not being subjected to this requirement. This discriminatory practice has caused frustration and resentment among the possession holders.
Non-Possession Holders Representing Possession Holders: Non-possession holders have resorted to threatening tactics, claiming to be "Vasooli Don" (extortionists), and pressuring possession holders to make payments. Additionally, baseless allegations have been made against possession holders regarding running Paying Guest accommodations, without any substantiating evidence, and the IRP is in support of imposing extra charges based on these false claims.
Mosquito Breeding Ground: During the peak monsoon season, the basement area has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The maintenance teams, cre.helpdesk@ultrafacility.com, have appeared negligent in taking necessary actions to address this critical issue, endangering the health and well-being of the residents.
Considering the magnitude of these concerns and the distress faced by the residents of Logix Zest, we kindly request your immediate intervention to ensure that:
Charges imposed on the residents are fair, reasonable, and in line with those in other societies and support with additional diesel from Builder
Adequate support and relief measures are provided to the residents affected by the forthcoming diesel generator regulations.
Alternative energy options, such as Piped Gas (CNG) or IGL connections, are explored and implemented in a timely manner.
Non-possession holders are not given preferential treatment in terms of dues certificates, and possession holders are not subjected to baseless allegations and extra charges.
The maintenance teams take immediate action to address the mosquito breeding issue in the basement.
Kindly save us from these issues so that all the middle-class people can focus on their livelihood rather than electricity expenses.
