Exempt Combat Wounded Veterans from Yearly Registration Fees

The Issue

In Minnesota, veterans who have been awarded the Purple Heart for their bravery and sacrifice should not be burdened with the cost of yearly vehicle registration fees if they are displaying a combat wounded/ Purple Heart license plate. These heroes deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.

Currently, Minnesota requires all vehicle owners to purchase yearly registration tabs, but this policy fails to acknowledge the unique sacrifices made by our combat-wounded veterans. By exempting these veterans from this financial obligation, when the combat wounded license plate is displayed, we can show a small token of appreciation for their immense contributions.

Please join me in urging Minnesota lawmakers to pass legislation that exempts Purple Heart recipients who display the combat wounded license plate from purchasing yearly registration tabs. Sign this petition to honor our wounded warriors and ease their financial burdens.
