Petition updateStop over-development ruining KingstonSilent soundscapes: Are Kingston's trees, birds and wildlife to be swallowed by mass development?

Please come to the URGENT nature conservation talk of the Kingston Biodiversity Network this Wednesday 17 April 2019 at 7pm at the Clattern Lecture Theatre Room PRMB0012 at Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Campus

Trees, birds and other wildlife are already vanishing under Kingston's 'total footprint' developments.

Kingston council has asked the Mayor of London to relax protections on green spaces and the Mayor wants gardens developed

Many more trees are already being felled than planted in Kingston. Replacements are saplings - giving almost no shelter or food for anything wild

Mitigating the destruction the being wrought on our natural environment with a few green roofs, bug hotels and bat boxes is like putting green sticking plasters on fields of concrete. A bat in a box can't feed its family if there's nothing to eat nearby. And you can't go for a walk on a green roof

Where will it end unless people are prepared to stand up for nature? The council isn't

It is up to us all to stop this pointless destruction

And please keep sharing this petition with your family, friends and neighbours
