On October 13,2024 , I suffered a physical assault from a neighbor living within our building community at 35 Commercial Street. This experience was not only terrifying, but it highlighted a severe problem within our building that needs immediate attention. The said neighbor has been airing threatening behaviors and physically assaulting others, creating an atmosphere of fear and anxiety.

Studies indicate that neighborhood violence can significantly affect a person's mental health and overall well-being (American Psychological Association). Our rights to live peacefully and safely in our homes are being violated by this violent and dangerous neighbor.

Many of us moved to this building for its promise of a safe environment for ourselves and our loved ones. But this sense of security has been shattered by the disturbing actions of this neighbor. A home should be a refuge, a safe place, but this individual has instead transformed our homes into places of fear.

In light of this distressing situation, we call upon our local authorities and the property management to intervene. We demand they take immediate action to evict this neighbor who is physically assaulting people, thus restoring peace and safety in our community.
