This past weekend, my 10-year-old son was hospitalized due to another brutal encounter with a bully, Ezekiel, and on his actual 10th Birthday. Imagine that heart-stopping moment, hearing and seeing that your child is physically hurting because another child has been tormenting him relentlessly! No parent should have to undergo such a harrowing experience, and it's a reality we've been forced to face. Noah has a bruised face currently and is in a splint for his sprained ankle. His other foot is heavily bruised as well. The X-rays came back, AND WE ARE VERY THANKFUL, his foot was NOT dislocated like we originally thought. This incident on 3/14/2026 happened because my child was defending another child from Tyzell and Ezekiel felt the need to jump in and wale on my child as usual. I will admit yes my child pushed this bully away from his personal space 1st, because everyone knows if you dont, he will attack, and he did as expected. He was cussing in his face antagonizing the situation. After they were done jumping/fighting my child, Noah collected his birthday gifts from his friends off the ground and started to walk home. Ezekiel's friend, Victor, as usual, encouraged Ezekiel to go after my child again. This time body slamming him into concrete and punching his face nonstop, until another child removed them and broke up the situation.

  Ezekiel is not too bad if he is alone, but he is swayed WAYYYYY too easily by other's influences (friends & big brother) and he is a danger to everyone. I cannot speak for the other parent's horror stories but it is never-ending!

  Noah is known to be everyone's friend, he is your safe place and can always be counted on. Noah will literally give the shirt off his back in the snow if he sees you struggling with no questions asked. He will give his only food/snacks to another kid if they are hungry too. Noah loves to paint his nails and collect tires, he doesn't care what others think of his so he stays strong with his beliefs for himself and other kids. He never thinks of himself and I don't want him to change or become mean because he suffers for it. Noah really is a sweetheart. And now he is terrified to even ride the bus to school. He was traumatized also because he got carried by 7 paramedics to the ambulance & had to go to the hospital & get an IV without his mama. They made me stay with the crowd outside in our yard & the police. 2 days after his birthday & he still doesn't want his cake his big sister decorated for him.

  The bully in question resides in the apartment complex, Creekside Place Apartments, Building 7, across the street from us in Thornton, Colorado and attends the same school as my child. Ezekiel is in the 5th Grade, while Noah is in the 4th grade. This repeated proximity has only escalated the severity of the situation. Despite numerous complaints and police reports, there has been a lack of decisive action from both the school administration and the property management, leaving us with no choice but to take this matter into our own hands. In the past, we have police reports for Ezekiel chasing down my son, Noah, with brass knuckles. All summer of 2025 he targeted Noah and told everyone to inform him he is hunting him. And of course this weekend's incident was the one time he didn't have his keychain pepper spray on him for protection. I have had to keep him home from school for 3 days before because he body slammed Noah into concrete and brick, causing him to be unable to walk for days and cry in pain. The police have finally taken this seriously and are issuing him a ticket for assault by this week. I will get court information to meet his parents in court from here. I am also going to be suing his parents for medical expenses that we cannot afford.

  This bully specifically already has a criminal record, his parents do not care or take action, and his big brother, I believe named Victor, encourages his rampages. Ezekiel is known to the WHOLE COMMUNITY as a nescience and everyone is tired of him! That is the purpose of this petition, as ALL parents and children in our community are exhausted of him! And everyone knows his reputation is never helpful or easy to deal with. The overwhelming support we received from the community has given me the strength to write this petition and take legal action, because we as a whole, are tired of him ruining our children's livelihood!

  Bullying is not just a minor issue; it's a rampant problem that's causing increasing harm in schools across the nation. The National Center for Education Statistics reports that about 20% of students ages 12-18 experience bullying nationwide. Yet, these numbers don't capture the emotional, psychological, and physical pain inflicted on young victims and their families.

  Concrete steps must be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. We are calling on the school's administration and the managing authority of our housing community to remove the bully from the school and the residential complex in order to prevent further harm. Such action will set a precedent, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying and ensuring every child can feel safe and secure in their home and learning environments.

  We implore the school and property management to reevaluate their anti-bullying policies, enforce stricter disciplinary measures, and provide more substantial support systems for victims and their families. Evicting the bully is not just a response; it's a necessary measure to protect our children.

Update 3/16/2026; So update everyone; the principal called me back today & he is going to have my kid & the Bully kid sign a "no contact" contract tomorrow for the rest of the school year in May, it extends to the bus so hes letting the bus driver & bus assistant know aswell. And his friends mom has offered to take my kid to school for the next week or 2 while hes in his splint so he doesn't have to worry about wobbling & stepping up on the bus. Noah went to work with me today, his discharge paperwork says he can return to school tomorrow. Then after the school year the bully will be away for middle school.
