#StopFoodWaste
When food is thrown away, it produces methane, a greenhouse gas 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. When food is disposed of in landfills, we're also wasting all of the land, water, energy, and other resources that went into its production, reducing biodiversity and polluting our environment. Every year, 10 million tons of food are thrown away. One of the simplest things people can do to combat climate change is to reduce food waste. Our group aims to equip every individual and organization on the earth with the tools they need to decrease waste and combat climate change for a brighter future and the vision we have for this project is to be a non-profit organization that empowers individuals with the knowledge they need to combat climate change by minimizing food waste.
The purpose of this project is to help the environment by lessening food waste. Reducing food waste can produce a triple success: for the economy, food security, and the environment. No food waste guarantees an economic climate for future generations. Food waste is an environmental concern that our team, Eco Foodly, would like to advocate to help reduce the environmental impacts of wasted food. This advocacy aims to encourage people and give them awareness in order to conserve resources and a healthy environment.
Let's pledge to stop food waste. We need you. We need your voice. We need your support. Please sign and share this petition to bring change to our country.
