KALIWA DAM WON'T SOLVE WATER CRISIS.

MR. President Duterte, We are students from Divine World College of Urdaneta. If we didn't think carefully what we are signing to, the nature, the people around it and the lives of endangered species, will be put at risk. We will be put in danger once we destroy our nature. If we talk about the water crisis in Manila, I'm sure that there are alternatives as well.

FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T KNOW, Sierra Madre known as "the backbone of luzon." "It is a natural shield against typhoons coming from the Pacific. 

BENEFITS OF SIERRA MADRE:

Rich in natural and biodiversity, good source of watershed critical for food production, mountain with abundant trees and natural resources and it protects the community from typhoon and natural resources. 

DISADVANTAGES of KALIWA DAM- It will only benefit the big businesses and foreign investors. We will lose a virgin forest. Almost all the endangered species will lose their lose their homes especially for the large number of threatened biodiversity species such as the Philippine eagle.

Dr. Tapang said that once it is gone, we would not be able to restore it. “The Sierra Madre came into being after millions of years, along with all the species of flora and fauna that evolved with it…If these are destroyed, it’s like the whole world has suffered a huge loss,” he warned. -Dennis Espada
