Reach Out & Communicate
The Issue
The topic of mental health awareness has recently been introduced, the roots of mental illnesses run deep into history. As we all know, mental illnesses are a broad variety of conditions influencing mood, thought, and behavior, and also called as mental disorders.
Many people with mental illnesses are now fighting to increase awareness of disorders like depression and anxiety, and some argue that the best way to educate about mental illnesses is to teach about it in school. By educating about mental illnesses in schools, activists are hoping to increase understanding about the topic and prevent teenagers who have mental illnesses from feeling alone.
Receiving help is the most important thing anyone can do for themselves. But unfortunately, the stigma keeps people from getting help. Mental illness should not be something to be ashamed about or thought of differently. When mental illness is treated equally to other illnesses, more people will have the courage to get help and better their lives.
By just being there for each other, it would be a great help. Try to reach out. Communicate. Just being there for someone can sometimes bring hope when all seems hopeless.
