Mr. Lastra has been the best teacher Plant High has ever had the privilege to have on campus, and because he has been here so long, Hillsborough county has organized teachers that have been teaching long at Plant are being designated to leave or transfer.

It is a heartache to all of us that have been able to know and love Mr. Lastra knowing he’s going to leave us at the end of this year, most of us students called him the “plant dad” for always being there for us and helping us through everything especially during the time of Covid-19. It would not only be a stab to our grades but our hearts, he is undeniably the most successful teacher when teaching a difficult subject of World History.

Mr. Lastra has not only a kind loving heart but a heart for his students and removing him from our lives at Plant would be nothing but a burden on our hearts. Please sign so the ones loved by not only Lastra but the ones that love him can be with him till graduation.
