Betty Boop-Change her back to the black cartoon character she started out being.

The Issue

The beautiful sexy cartoon character Betty Boop was originally inspired by a talented Black Female jazz singer and entertainer out of Harlem named Esther Jones (stage name Baby Esther) in the 1930s...The original Betty Boop was shown in cartoons as a black female until the cartoonist Max Fleischer whitewashed her to become white. Esther Jones was never acknowledged or compensated for the millions of dollars in revenue that the Betty Boop franchise made from television networks and sales in merchandise. Her original image was stolen from her, then changed to profit off of. We’ve made many changes in the world, many wrongs made right..and I feel the original Betty Boop, in all of her beauty and magnetism should be restored to who she truly is...A Black Woman and that Esthers Family be compensated for royalties they’re due.
