It is not a difficult concept that everybody poops but perhaps  it is more “digestible” than trying to feed, house, or water homeless people. The everybody poops initiative will benefit all involved. It will succeed in keeping people that are facing homelessness out of the local businesses, it will clean up the streets of human feces, and it is a genderless solution so that more than just the homeless population will benefit.  I believe that access to a private public restroom is a human right. The amount of stress one faces when they do not have the simple luxury of using a safe and secure bathroom is astronomical. Yes, there is a free public restroom that already exists downtown. Yes it is free but it is gendered and it is in only one location. In addition to the homeless population, Wilmington is a tourist destination as well, and those tourists or even simply a person passing through town needs to relieve themselves in a safe and secure place.
