Let’s face it! Animal Shelters are full. Animals are being dumped, abandoned, miss treated and euthanized. Mainly due to lack of education about the animal or lack of consideration for a living thing. It happens everywhere.  The biggest contributor to this problem is pet stores. You walk in and the first thing you see is these cute baby animals.  Children beg their parents for a pet and the heart melts from the sight of that cute animal and the potential joy that will bring their child.  A few weeks go by and the novelty of this pet wears off.  Now what???  Unfortunately most cases end up in surrendering the unwanted animal to the local animal shelter or dumping the animal in which case the domesticated animal is left to brave the elements and fend for themselves.   Shelters are constantly back logged and left to reach out for support from volunteers and donations from the public to meet the basic needs of these animals. Bless these shelters for everything they do because without them and the dedication from staff and volunteers, these animals wouldn’t get a second chance they deserve. This whole issue can be solved by stopping the problem at the source. Let’s make that change happen!
