To have our dearest and sweetest Mom, Auntie, Nunu on Facebook has been a delight and gift of the 21st century, especially given the trauma from the last four years and the isolation caused by a global pandemic. 

Ms. Sheppard’s smartphone however is not cooperating. It has become troublesome and attitudinal, ringing only when IT chooses to ring. 

Smartly, Ms. Sheppard has made the executive decision to purchase a new phone. 

But she has settled on a flip phone that does not have the capability of internet apps like Facebook. This is an economically wise decision that may also help the environment. But it is also one that may have detrimental impact on the community of people who love her most. 

Ms. Sheppard believes she can do without Facebook. 

But we, her adoring fans, say NO! We insist that without her presence on Facebook we will be left sadder, lonelier, and missing the presence of this amazing and generous Queen in our lives.

Another fan who wishes to remain anonymous said, “It makes me feel like crying to think I will no longer see a special and creative animated gif from her. She makes my life better!” Another anonymous fan said, “I feel like when I share photos of my pets and friends it’s more meaningful, because I know SHE will see them and respond.”
