Evacuate Families of US Citizens from Gaza
The Issue
First and foremost we would like to extend our gratitude for all your efforts in helping our American citizens evacuate from Gaza.
We are addressing you as a group of concerned American citizens with an urgent plea for the expansion of evacuation criteria for family of US citizens and LPRs.
Unfortunately, the situation in the Gaza Strip has become increasingly dire, and our family members are facing significant ongoing harm. We urge you to act sooner rather than later and include eligible family members regardless of age or marital status on the Rafah Crossing list as this is absolutely time sensitive considering current conditions. Our families’ wellness and safety are of utmost importance to us - lives are lost by the minute. We have great trust and hope in the Department of State’s ability to assist us, and that you will expand evacuation criteria to allow the following categories:
- Parents of both US Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents regardless of age.
- Siblings of US Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents and their families regardless of age, and marital status.
Many US Citizens and US Permanent Residents filled in the State Department crisis intake forms very early, but most of them are still waiting amid ongoing uncertainty and anxiety. We understand the complexities of international matters, and we implore you to consider the plight of our families and assist them as soon as possible. We are eager to cooperate in any way possible to ensure the safety of our loved ones. As citizens of a country that stands for human rights and highly values justice for all, we need your help to evacuate our families meeting the criteria stated above out of Gaza into Egypt. We will be responsible for any financial assistance needed for their evacuation.
We kindly ask that the US State Department demand from all involved parties to permit our families a secure and safe exit into Egypt.
Your support and compassion in this matter would mean the world. Please let us know if there are any additional necessary steps and documentation required, and we will provide it promptly.
